"Well, our experience was quite well. They have a lot of options in their menu, whether you will dine as a group, family, or a couple, they have the right menu for you. The food are delicious and tasty. The only problem for us was their table, it wasn't wide enough to accommodate all our ordered food which let us to discomfort on getting the dishes that we wanted. Also, their WIFI was not working, which was very DISAPPOINTING for me because I agreed to eat there because they have wifi access."

"All the way from Ilocos, we took the San Fernando bypass road to keep away from the heavy traffic in the area. It was lunch time when we got to the main highway and our goal was to look for a comfortable (preferably a resto...that serve seafood) place to stopover for lunch. Our search was futile considering that only local fastfood can be seen along the highway from bauang-caba-aringay-agoo...with hopes down and nearing the last town of la union, my hubby glimpsed a spot ahead with several cars parked outside and that's when we read the sign Kambak Resto and Grill We immediately pulled over and decided to stop there for lunch regardless if we find it so-so. To our surprise, this resto turned out super-super!...We found out that lots of tourists from the north have already discovered this place and were already enjoying their lunch, most of them in big groups/families. The menu resembles that of a song book list in videokes, worn out and dilapidated but the menu list was extensive and the prices were cheap (waitress said per order serves 2-3 persons). We were a bit skeptical at first given the very reasonable price per order so we just opted to get tuna kinilaw and sinigang na malaga (a fish that resembles that of tilapia), 2 cups of rice and a pitcher of cucumber lemonade. True enough, the kinilaw na tuna was served first and indeed, it was good for sharing and taste...oh well, it had the perfect balance of salt and vinger with generous mix of chopped ginger, onions and chili. The cup of rice is good for 2 actually, and I didn't get to finish mine. As for the sinigang na malaga (first time i heard of that kind of fish), it tasted and looked better than tilapia. It's pinkish in color, flatter and tastier with the sinigang base soured by fresh sampaloc and tomatoes! The cucumber lemonade pitcher is so refreshing and even had slices of cucumber to highlight the flavor (since we cannot consume what's left in the pitcher, they had it transferred in two plastic cups with dome lids and bendable straws). Our total bill?...only P540! We were so happy to have found this resto and will definitely consider KAMBAK-ing for more! I hope they will not become like other known stopover sites who dramatically increases their rate, while compromising the portioning and taste of their meals."
