"I have eaten in Room 8 a few times for lunch couldn 't fault it. The food service is 'always ' fantastic! Last night I went for an evening meal for the first time at Room 8 Wow! I did know it was going to be good because the day time food is lovely but I was blown away. The food was amazing, I had the best fillet steak (cooked to perfection) I ever had in Navan last night the service wouldn 't look out of place in a Michelin star restaurant! Fantastic ambience, with romantic candles small little details everywhere you look. I will be back very soon! Highly recommend Room 8, 5 stars"

"When you have a cafe at a visitor's center, you have a captive audience. We had 1:45 PM ticket times, so we had no option for lunch but the cafe. The food was decent, but it was overpriced for what it was. I appreciated that all of the food was locally sourced, but again, just ok, especially for the price."

"Visited twice disorganized . Pay at till , no menu to chose from, find your own table, soup cold , no cutlery, no napkins , no water offered, tables slightly sticky, toilets scruffy . This cafe used to be lovely . Change in management has led to a drop in standards . Won’t be returning if things don’t pick up . Disgruntled"

"I tried Freshii today when I made my usual stop at Apple Green off the M4 (westbound) and was really glad I did. The usual Irish summer day was in full swing with gale force winds and chilly temps, so the soup bowl at Freshii was a very welcome treat. I can't remember which one I got exactly, but it was like a classic Japanese Ramen dish with chunky fresh veg (kale, carrot, cabbage, red onion) with a broth and quinoa base....I am a fan of chunky soups (v. pureed), so this was perfect. I also got a tasty burrito with chicken, quinoa and vegetables. I didn't even have to ask for the wholewheat wrap, it came as standard. Both dishes cost just over €11 and was more than enough for myself and husband. You can finally get proper healthy fresh food at a motorway rest stop. Well done Freshii...I will most certainly be back."

"We had a great dinner here. We arrived around 7:30 and the place was empty. There was only one other table dining. We ordered a bottle of French Merlot and it was quite good, soft and velvety. For appetizers, I had a goat cheese dish and my wife had the crab cakes. The crab cakes were tasty but lacking of crabs. For the main course I had the mackerel and my wife had the chicken. Both were solid, good dishes but did not have that special push to bring them up to a five. For desert, I had the chocolate cube and my wife had the creme brûlée. Both were excellent. One of the highlights of this dinner was the wait staff. They were truly outstanding and brought the experience up to a five. By the time we left, most of the tables were occupied. We are pleased that we ate here."

"We always order the mega box but why do the chicken wings be so dry and old? When u order normal wings on aide they are fresh? Isnt just whatever waste u have… not fair Also it should not be a hit or miss some times it is fresh lots of meat and most of the time dry lots of old chips and dry hard chicken"

"Poor experience I’m vegetarian and ordered the pasta vegetarian option from the menu. Pasta came out and I tasted bacon, looked through dish and pieces of bacon. Was advised that it must of been the ‘wrong jar’ of sauce used. It was taken away and a new vegetarian pasta to be made, the next came out, could not spot any bacon or meat. Half way through and got the taste of bacon again, using fork looked through the rest of dish and found two pieces of bacon. Called staff back and they took away to speak with chef, mentioned it could be seeds from tomato!!! Clearly explained it was bacon by the tase, texture and the look of it. Advised it must have been the utensils. Received an apology and the meal was taken off bill. Really not okay for this to happen!!!! Clearly requirements are not taken seriously. I’m still disgusted over it!!! Based on this, I can not recommend."
