"We followed trip advisor advise again and you all were right. We didn't want to spend a lot of money for lunch and we didn't have a lot of time. I'm a sucker for a bake shop! As you can see my hubby had the clam chowder which came with 2 homemade rolls, he said it was very good. I ordered the egg salad sandwich, they added onions by just putting it on top of the egg salad, but it was alright. The bread was thick and the sandwich good. The service was so fast, it was amazing! You couldn't go to McDonald's and be served quicker. The price, also amazing the chowder and sandwich was $12. On our way out we decided to grab some dessert too go, a big piece of raspberry pie and a date square, all for $5. As mentioned by others they only take cash and debit. But we will be back for sure, next time we are in town, great value for the money."

"I Grow up admiring this wonderful old castle and my grandfather helped build it. It is hidden behind trees and up on a hill that could do with some lighting. I went to have dinner while on my holiday from Toronto. The building is very beautiful. Quaint and has some mid evil charm. The dining room was clean and the decor was plain. No charm could be found. It was very hot and we asked to have the windows open. We were the only customers there. The waiter was dressed in shorts and a t shirt, which I found Boring. He was curt and really had no interest in us as customers. We ordered the expensive salmon with no sauce and the waiter asked us why we like our salmon with no sauce. (Odd) We asked for bread and we were told " no bread service" he didn't try to sell us wine with our meal. We actually felt like it was an impositionTo serve us. Not ambiance could be found. We were very disappointed. We had hoped that this was going to be a creative and delighted journey back to mid evil times or just plain interesting. Finally the meal arrived. Fresh salmon, fresh potatoes and string beans and carrots. I have eaten in many restaurants and I have never eaten such delicious fresh vegetables. Cooked to perfection and spiced just right. The salmon was melt in your mouth wonderful, I totally forgot about the surroundings and enjoyed this wonderful home cooked meal that was obviously prepared by a chef with some experience. For the two meals and tip it was 65. Canadian dollars. My final review. Hire professional staff. Change your atmosphere and I Guarantee you that the Castle will flourish. I would travel a good distance to eat that good food again."
