"The restaurant was beyond its prime but well kept and with a friendly atmosphere. We opted for the buffet which had a lot of choses. The fried chicken and the barbecue ribs were a real treat -Southern comfort food, as if grandma was in the back doing the cooking. The salad bar was compact but flavorful. The veggie bar and desert bars also had the grandma touch."

"Eating is okay, it's nothing to write home. the chicken and steak both seem to be commercially processed, cooked and frozen. the salsa tastes and looks like he came out of a bottle that were chipped. I guess the only thing they're cooking here is the two, paprika and the marisadillas. total spent $3 on chips. not afteros only chips, $12 for 3 basic tacos, $7.50 for a quesadilla and $4 for 2 fountain drinks"

"I changed it up this time and ordered a sampler appetizer as my meal. I ordered the Casa Sampler and substituted beef for chicken, no extra charge. There was so much food that it made 2 complete meals for me. If you ask, they will give you containers with the guacamole, sour cream, salsa, etc. I normally order some flour tortillas to take home, maybe chips and salsa. I also love their sweet tea. Ok I have a house margarita once in a while, but he drives. lol Husband normally orders the Wet Burrito and always enjoys it. When I was at a much heavier weight, 60+ pounds more, I noticed sitting in one particular section in a booth was uncomfortable. As you walk in door, look to the left side of the restaurant in that room. Beside the wall that runs lengthwise or front to back are a tight fit. Those are the booths I'm referring to. I would avoid that area because there didn't seem to be as much room in them. Face it, we don't want to sit in a booth where you are in a tight squeeze and your back is against the back padding and ones stomach touches the table. That's just depressing to me. I never mentioned it, was too embarrassed, I'd just ask to wait for a booth in a different section. So if you are of larger stature, avoid that section. By the windows is good. Back to the good stuff, food is yummy, tortilla chips are a bit like Mexico style, on the thicker side. I like Chili's tortilla chips more, thin, fresh and hot. The salsa is good, but to me the food varies by the cook. Here's the deal, I'm originally fro El Paso and spent my first 6 years of life with a lady, my Mama, said Spanish way. She cooked Mexican style and often took us kids, my brother, my self and her kids to Juarez to do her shopping. We are in certain little lunch counter type of restaurant, cafes. It was Mexican food. Some chiefs in these restaurants are from South America, aka, anything South of Mexico. They have their own way of preparing food and the spices vary. When we ate at Cancun, on Ryan Lake Charles, I'd ask after a bite of food if the cook was from South America. They look at me quizzically, normally asking how I could tell. I'd laugh and say, because I know Mexican food, and this is Not it. I've found that our latest trips to Casa Ole the food has tasted a lot better. Perhaps it's the influx of new people moving into our community, but the way the food is prepared, spices used, and the look of it has been closer to Mexican Food. Believe me, there is a world of difference from South American cooking to Mexican cooking. I prefer Mexican, otherwise I'd go to Cancun, which honestly, I haven't been there in years. They have Margarita specials, happy hour I think for the House Margarita. You can request sugar around the rim if you don't like the salt. I prefer sugar. There are many families that eat there, but I see younger kids, and couples. I finally hit 60 so I may finally qualify for the Sr Dishes, which are smaller portions. I love to take home my extras so that I can enjoy their wonderful food the next day. I'm getting a bit of confusion when ordering the food, due to the fact that I know what a Flauta is, so don't order that one expecting a corn tortilla or Mexican style. It was ok but it really wasn't what I wanted one trip. It, to me, has too much cheese. 12-21-18 great food. See pics. House Margarita 2.00 crispy beef taco, beef enchilada with beef chili sauce, beef fajita enchilada, rice beans, side of chili con queso, chips and salsa and my flour tortillas. Have enough for supper tomorrow night. Excellent food. Kay waited in us and did a splendid job. Thank you Kay!"

"I ate buffet (especially Cajun Buffet) and staff kept it fresh and hot. I appreciate that concentrated on a few items, popcorn shrimps, fish, chicken, gumbo(s), white and dirty rice and Cajun Mais there is also a beautiful salad bar, and bread pudding. There were also cancer fish and all the trimming for a little extra, but I was happy with just the regular buffet. The menu also concentrated on the standard Cajun fair and the impregnates were huge. Overall a very good experience and look forward to my next visit."

Everyone here or on the way to stop TAKE TIME! You won't regret it! On the pizza pick it looked even better than I got it first, but forget to make a picture.
