"Went for lunch a couple of weeks ago. Pub quiet, service very slow, children's food ordered did not come out as the menu stated. Put number plate into their system and have just received a parking fine. Can't understand why this carpark needs to be run by a private company. Not impressed as my visit last year was lovely"

"Excellent eating and service in the kings head. eating is tasty and well worth and we were very well looked after by friendly smiling staff. especially thanks to zoe that they have looked after us at our recent visit. can highly recommend the chicken burger in the bungalow and the Makkaroni cheese. gammon steak was just like the hunters chicken. beautiful atmosphere, clean and well spaced, really enjoyed our visit."

"Overall, we had a nice lunch, but that was mainly due to the company. The staff were very good, service was excellent. £9 is far too much to pay for a glass of wine! I’ll make an exception if I’m viewing grazing wildebeest on the African Planes, or gazing out at the Mediterranean Sea, but we’re talking about a pub at Merley. The pizza that we ordered was very average, but my burger was delicious, however.........when we asked for condiments tomato sauce they said they had NONE in the house?! Apparently it hadn’t arrived with their stock order? Really? Fair enough, but if it had been my pub I would’ve sent one of the staff to buy some at the local Nisa 5 mins walk round the corner. If I had been told there was no tomato sauce at the point of ordering, I wouldn’t have chosen a burger! 3 coffees ordered, and they came with dessert spoons as they had no teaspoons left. They had all been used for a big party in the private room. Buy more teaspoons with the huge profit you’re making with every glass of wine? My local pub, but probably won’t go again, shame, as the staff were nice."

"Great curry place. We started with poppadoms and dips. Good sized dips rather than tiny pots. We then had Chicken Ceylon, Chicken Dhansak, Mushroom rice, Garlic naan and onion bhaji. Great tasting curries, lovely rice with plenty of mushroom in it, nice fresh naan and 2 lovely big crispy bhajis. The staff were very friendly also. Slightly more expensive than we are used to paying where we live, but then that's all down to the area I guess. All round, thoroughly enjoyable."
