"I did not enjoy the food at basil's. I was intrigued with he food menu, but when the food came out, it was pretty dry and not seasoned well. I ordered the steak frites and the sesame ahi tuna. The steak wasn't seasoned and not medium rare as I asked. The mashed potatoes and spinach for the ahi tuna was bland and poorly presented."

"A huge thank you to the entire staff. From the minute we walked in the door it was obvious this was about more than just dinner. Your kindness, graciousness and sincerity cannot be understated. I give a special nod to the chef who personally serves his plates with a charming flare I find rare in today's world. A 5 Star Experience!"

"I was here for the breakfast buffet and it was mediocre. You are not missing out. The one star is for the service. Our waiter barely checked up on us and when I complained about my creamer having some black stuff, he wasn 't really enthusiastic. I had asked him do you see the black stuff in the creamer? He rudely said no, I don 't. But I 'll just bring you another one. The next pot of creamer had the same thing! Turns out the black stuff is from the black napkins they use to wipe down the creamer pot. So when he pours creamer in the pot, the black threads are all floating on top how the hell do you not see that? Never going back even though they give me the breakfast voucher again."

"I can't stop coming here! love love to eat too much! They were here 3 times and tried something new each time and enjoyed it all. the personal and the atmosphere are very friendly. I enjoyed the free chips and salsa bar when I waited for my fresh food. I could not resist the glass bottle soda (no high fructose maissirup) and took an agua fresca' to go, which was also delicious. also the prices were very affordable. no one complaining about this place. this is my way to from now on for delicious authentic Mexican cuisine!"

"I cannot stress enough how wonderful this simple, authentic, home style food is. This restaurant has authentic food, large portions, and low prices. This is not a fancy place. It might be easy to nitpick service, ambiance, whatever, but if you love real Mexican food, you will love this place. I had two tamales: one pork and one cheese and jalapeño as well as an asada sope. That was a lot of food. The sope was fresh, hand made, and one of the best I've ever had. The crema fresca and cotija were perfect. The tamales were fluffy, just spicy enough, and absolutely wonderful. This is a real mom pop operation, and the cooking is great."

"Such a great breakfast place!! We sat outside in the open area and had such a great time! The customer service was great, they were really quick bringing the food out, and the food was soooo delicious! The chilaquiles were so good and the French toast was amazing!! It tasted like literally a home cooked meal. It's dramatic I know, but it was that good! I will be definitely passing by again!"
