"This is always, for five years running (missing one due to Covid) been my first place to go for breakfast in the Big Easy. I always eat here the first day, and this year was no exception. The mimosas are delicious and pack an excellent little breakfast buzz. The gluten-free pancakes are literally to-die-for and the city grits make me tear up a bit...happy tears of course. I ate here two different mornings. I plan all my restaurants ahead, due to being gluten-free and the one morning, the line at another restaurant was too insane, so I went back here to my go-to. The first visit was so perfect. Alexus was my server and she was so friendly and brought me everything I needed. This was one of my first breakfasts out after Covid, but the restaurant wasn't too busy, and the great food took my mind off any Covid worries. They do check your vaccination record. I ordered the lobster and brie omelette and it was perfectly delicious. Great visit the Wednesday before Mardi Gras. The only thing I was I was missing were those little individual jars of maple syrup. I did return on Saturday and was seated relatively quickly, even though there was a waitlist. Lindsey was my waitress and she was excellent also. The family beside me had a child who spilt juice all over the floor and even though she was very busy she helped clean it up and provided us all with excellent service. The reason I'm docking one star is that one thing happened to me on this visit that happened the last time I ate there in 2020 on my way out of NOLA. This time I deviated from my norm and ordered the Mardi Gras omelette. This is the menu description: Filled with Louisiana crawfish, gulf shrimp, andouille and red peppers, topped with tomato hollandaise, tomatoes and green onions. I was disappointed because there was barely ANY of that in that omelette. I literally found ONE red pepper. It was delicious and would've made the omelette if only there had been more of them. While my omelette on Wed was packed this on"
