"We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed!The atmosphere is a mixture of a typical Cologne pub and a cosy restaurant. We always receive a warm welcome and attentive service. The husband and wife team ( Italian chef and German landlady) that run the pub and restaurant are a delightful couple. The food is mainly pastas and pizzas and is always fresh and tasty. In addition to the main menu there are chef's specials on offer, all at reasonable prices. We love the complimentary warm bread and dips provided as a starter. We especially recommend the linguine with pesto and pine nuts. They are very flexible with the menu here, and will happily adjust flavourings etc.Great service, great atmosphere, great food."

"I stopped here for a few beers whilst staying local the restaurant itself is very clean and well presented the staff were very helpful and polite as I don't speak German the waitress was very obliging when it came to helping me understand what other waiters were saying"

"Ihr wollt einen richtig saftigen Burger? Wollten wir auch und wurdeb nicht enttäuscht. Endlich mal ein Halal Burger Laden auf unserer Rheinseite der auch mega lecker ist. Einzig doofe ist der Laden ist zu klein aber egal es schmeckt soooooo lecker. Danke Jungs für den tollen Burger ich werde euch jedem weiter empfehlen"

"We come to Old Montana from time to time especially when one of the family has a birthday. That was the case at the end of November. We were also very curious to know if there had been any changes as we understood that the...place was now under new management. We arrived early in the evening and were shown to our table for The reception was very friendly and informal hip, you might say. As usual we started by ordering a round of cocktails to be honest this is the main reason why we frequent this establishment. Once the drinks had arrived we tackled the eating part of the evening. For starters we shared some nachos with baked over cheese. Our party then had various different main courses. I had the peeled prawns which came in an insipid tomato sauce. The rest of the family didn't get too inspired with the food. In fact if it weren't for the cocktails we wouldn't rush back here again for the food. As for the service, we were in two minds really. The staff were friendly enough but tended to be so informal that it almost bordered on being cheeky. I guess that they had been told by the young management to be cool hip which I suppose would appeal more to a younger clientele. Unfortunately the overall feeling of the family was that our evening experience could only be described as average. If we come again it'll be to focus on the cocktails.."
