"I wanted to try Go Salads for the longest time. Whenever we are in the Katipunan area, i always tell myself... "You have to swing by Go Salads" <br>

Alas, this review is for their Eastwood branch. We never had the chance to visit the Katipunan branch as it is out of the way. The route back to Marikina is via Balara. Geography aside, we decide to have dinner at Go Salads. The space is small and can probably fit 10 people. <br>

Sgt Steak Salad. I've read rave reviews about this baby hence the anticipation. Sadly, i got schooled with the difference between expectation versus reality. It is an oversight on my end as i didn't review the menu prior ordering and i can't seem to remember the reviews I've read. I didn't mind that the salad is only comprised of four ingredients (mushrooms, seared steak lettuce and chimichuri dressing). I wasn't wowed with it, i guess I am used to ze extravagant kind (Salad Stop). And the seared steak is a lil tough. <br>

"We just went here for lunch this noon because I wanted to try their 195 meal with pizza, chicken, and a side dish of your choice. Me and my brother ordered different versions of the meal. I ordered the roasted garlic and shrimp pizza, NY BBQ wings, and chicken alfredo. The service is a bit slow, but it's okay because when they served the food, everything was still very hot. The cheese on the folded pizza was still very melty and gooey. The wings were a but underwhelming, though. They put very little sauce and the batter was just so-so. "Okay, I hate food parks. They are crowded, loud, overpriced, overrated and most of the time their food sucks. <br>

But then there are a couple of exceptions like the House of Chili on the sixth. To be clear - it's also the only decent booth in this food park (and seriously, why is the food in food parks so damn bad?). <br>

That it's in a food park is a big downer. It's just so hard to talk to friends and enjoy the food when the music is so loud and people are walking and talking all around you. (We hope that one day they will get their own place) <br>

But then they make up for it with their exceedingly delicious and affordable food! Your Bulalo was a dream! The meat was so tender and the broth was bursting with umami. Their crispy pata was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They also combine their dishes with their special garlic and chili sauce. <br>

If you love Filipino food give this place a try. Affordable and tasty - great value for money. <br>

"Tomato Kick is a bar and grill restaurant which offers really good food while listening to good music. Sometimes, they have guests singers or bands to play in their place. The ambiance of the restaurant is really cozy and artsy, especially the one's painted into the walls. <br>

I recommend their burgers: BLT Burger and Mexican Burger - both for P180. Along with their Nacho Supremo for P200. <br>
<br>
If you're planning to eat rice, you must try their version of Gising-Gising for P200, which is a mixture of seafood and spices. And their Chicken Fillet in Gravy for P230.<br>
