"A teeny tiny spot near Busch Stadium, this place has about eight to 10 stools, a new counter and a friendly manager that I chatted with while eating. The burger was a pre-formed, frozen patty type, no seasoning or anything special about it. Average, plain bun. Skinny fries. Crispy. I went on a night when the Cardinals were not playing, and I had the whole place to myself. I noticed a video game machine in the corner. They plugged it in for me, I inserted the required two quarters and went about chomping up blue ghosts in a lively game of Ms. Pac-Man. : The machine actually had a huge variety of games, including Frogger, Dig Dug and Galaga, just to name a few. My food was done before I was done playing the game, but I figured it needed a little time to cool anyway. Sooooo...now I can say I've visited the iconic St. Louis Eat-Rite Diner. The food didn't stand out in any particular way and I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but it was a nice impromptu meal and great conversation."

"I can't remember the exact transaction, but I think they were from something I really, really, very wanted. so the cute young man who worked the window took the regular milkshake I had ordered, and pushed him on a milkshake that fits into their over-extra-sized sodatassen. the really big one. that was a huge milkshake. he was a nice young man. we had a laugh."

"Bought a Groupon and was able to use when I was there. Not a big Mexican fan so I tried the platter and only like 2/4 things. Cadillac Margarita was made perfect. Staff was nice and friendly"

"Honestly, read the other reviews I thought that would be a fantastic experience, but I was gone. The evening began by the hostess not even to welcome us (this was for a 70. birthday party, so we had a group of 10). The manager came by so randomly and he welcomed us. We sat and ordered drinks. Some of the drinks we ordered could not make them because they were made of pineapple juice that would have been fixed by driving to Dierbergs or something. We then ordered some strawberry Daiquiri, but they slept terrible, so they were sent back, and we settled on iced tea. The waitress never imagined, let's know about any specials, or explain something on the menu, so we somehow found out how we went. We ordered the 3 course litter and lawn. I had the fillet (which was at best moderate), my lobster was under boiled, and my wife was over boiled, and the slurries potatoes (which was also moderate). It came with a desert. When the meal passed, our desert was brought to us, but there were others at our table, who did not get the 3 course meal, who were asked if they wanted desert or coffee. Needless to say we had gone to one of the popular chain steak houses and received better service, had better tasting food and spent less than half the price."

"Slow and terrible service, couldn’t even walk in or out of the place. They had people cramming in touching other people. Food was way to salty like I went to McDonalds. "This was a pleasant surprise today. I hate that dining rooms have been closed. Eating in a car with 2 kids can be messy and frustrating. Going through the drive thru we noticed nice picnic tables set up with umbrellas. After getting our food we were able to sit and enjoy our meal. The food was delicious and hot. The drive thru was backed up at least 10 cars when we got in line. The line moved quickly. The cashier was friendly and our order was correct. This is a bit of a drive for us but we will definitely be back"
