"Really friendly staff, fully attentive and very comfortable with their vegan food options. There were several choices on the menu and I went with the falafel, hummus, carrot and apricot salad, garlic mushrooms and chips to share. It was a huge portion of salad, really fresh and tasty. We visited on a hot day, we sat outside and ordered a chilled glass of white wine as even the drinks menu was marked vegan! Ace. "This underground restaurant is PACKED no matter what time. I’m not sure if they take reservations but you know it’s the place to be . They’re open late too. The wings were amazing. They’re full wings not those half flats other places serve for the same price. Fries were hot and crispy and greasy (in the best way) and our server was nice. It was packed so a little slower when asking for additional drinks/menu items but they came around when they could. Bar was super busy but we started there while waiting for a table and ordered tequila and of course, the tequila was in a tall 16? Ounce maybe 16? And the cranberry came in like an 8 ounce ? idk if I’m supposed to be writing this. But it’s a well known fact about Stan’s so what the hell.All I’m going to say is if you’re going to have more than one drink…Uber. ?"

"We booked a visit here on my trip to Edinburgh, the view from the window seat was nice even though the weather outside was bad. Relaxed atmosphere as there was only a couple of tables in at the same time. We had the clam chowder for starter and it was full delicious ingredients, creamy and served with crunchy sourdough bread. My mum had the mushroom and tarragon soup on the specials which really warmed us up on a cold autumn day. We had the mussels as our main which was nice but definitely for the price it should have been a larger portion. The fish and chips was crispy and premium quality, could have done with mushy peas or garnish. Some of the chips we were served was like scraps from the bottom of the fryer so didn't have much substance to it. We also had the lemon posset on the specials which was a delight and smelt amazing. Service was friendly and attentive, I enquired about my allergies in advance and was made well aware of my options. Definitely enjoyed our lunch there and would love to visit again in the future."

"I went in for a steak but neither the Entrecote or Tenderloin were available. The chicken wings were amazing but the Roma burger could have used a some seasoning. Great brownie, ice cream and coffee though. Solid meal at a reasonable price."
