"Fancied some salt 'n ' chilli wings and chips. Had from loads of places before and they 're always of a similar quality. Not here unfortunately. Both dishes over cooked, over salted and lacking chilli. Really poor quality. First and last time here."

"Table for four was booked for today, yesterday, an hour or so after our Bar Luca trauma. I’m optimistic and saw this as a palate cleanser. It was. Staff were wonderful, efficient, and attentive. Food was very good. I could go into detail, but as all four meals were excellent I feel that would be over egging a tad pizza ‘make’ your own); steak pie, chips and veg; macaroni cheese and chips; and fish and chips with mushy peas. Followed mains with cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate cake, all with varying combinations of ice cream and cream. I recommend The Wee Train to anyone looking for good food at fair prices. Four mains, three puddings drinks £63 tip."
