"We came here for lunch after being recommended it. We were not disappointed! The food was very fresh and delicious and the menu choices were far greater than what we were expecting. The service was lovely and the atmosphere very relaxed. We loved it so...much we stayed longer for coffee and cake. We didn't want to leave."

"AVOID AVOID AVOID !! Absolute appalling customer service . I’d heard very mixed reviews about this place, mostly due to the management but as it’s my local I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. What a mistake that was. I visited Connollys on Friday and Saturday, On the first occasion I was sat down outside having a quiet drink before meeting with friends. A lady I now know to be Jo, the owner spoke down to me in a very derogatory manner. I thought nothing of it and popped in again the next day, I was again spoken down too by the husband of Jo , Tony. For someone that had many years of experience within hospitality I would and will advise people to steer clear of this place . Having spoken to a few locals recently this appears to be a regular occurrence. The only good thing I can say is their daughter Hannah has a lovely manner and goes out of her way to treat their customers with the upmost of respect."

"Had a great night at The Horseshoe. There was a band on, who were brilliant. We had lunch and dinner at the pub. Great meals, lots of very tasty food, all four of us enjoyed our meals. Our hosts Andy and Jacqui couldn't do enough for us. All the staff were friendly and accomadating. Lovely cosy pub with a fire and cosy nooks."
