"Gorgeous little find and a local gem. Make sure you pop downstairs to eat in the beautiful garden out the back. Great food, excellent burgers on the menu, ace beans and the staff are top notch too!"

"The prime location of this venue benefits from the foot traffic from CBD workers, university students, Broadway Shopping Centre shoppers making this place so versatile for a solo meal, meetup with friends, work lunch or group celebration. The service staff is warm and friendly and the menu curated by owner, Trung who has over 25 years of experience running a chain of restaurants abroad with Bon Bistro being his first Australian venture. His "produce is freshly sourced", serving sizes "have to be big" and he has a keen sense of bringing value to his customers without compromising on the traditional authentic flavors of Vietnamese Cuisine!ENTREE:Sauteed Corn with dry shrimps isn't something I would normally order but I trusted Trung's recommendation and the crispy corn and pungent sundried shrimp combination is quite addictive with soft bursts of soft centred corn. Very new combination for me.WINTER MENU:I had to try the winter menu, as Trung tends to change it seasonally and my goodness! On a cold day like today, the MEEKONG BEEF STEW was a hearty spectacle with a rich yet not too heavy broth and egg noodle with slight Mediteranean seasoning mixed through the usual Vietnamese accompaniments of bean sprouts, mint, Lemon & fresh chilli. I highly recommend this comfort dish!!!MAIN:The VERMICELLI NOODLE SALAD has is perfectly balanced with the mix of noodles, mint, carrout, sprouts, home made fish sauce with a warm stiry fried pork and spring rolls. The ratio of the ingredients is so carefully done each ingredient gets its moment as you work your way through each component or toss it through.Trinkets of Vietnam adorn the venue with beautiful feature mirrors through out, a great space for any occassion there is also a wheelchair lift making it very friendly and accessible for all! Comfort Food, Warm Service & a welcome from the owner as if you are stepping into his home, be prepared for a great meal out where it is impossible to leave unsatisfied!"

"Delicious inexpensive Malaysian (and Thai) food is served in this informal indoor-outdoor eating establishment. Serves are quite large and I found both our dishes rich. We had dry curry prawns and pumpkin with salted duck egg. There was quite a selection in the menu which...will tempt me back. Service was friendly but not particularly attentive."

"Reasonably priced, the food at this restaurant is authentic and really delicious. There's a really high turn over, with people from the Indonesian community, and they serve dishes that are particularly Indonesian, form different parts of Indonesia too. The restaurant decor is quite basic, but that's to show that it's main purpose is to serve a hearty Indonesian meal."

"I and my friend went here to try their famous cheese pasta, Cacio e Pepe. We also ordered a salad that I can't remember the name. The pasta was quite good. It would be better if you put some chili sauce that they recommended us to put on. The salad was okay. Standard. Nothing special. They served us pretty quickly but the place was quite small."

"Just to make it clear, guys: You do not go to Soma for vegan food. It doesn't have a lot. What it HAS is excellent, don't get me wrong, but it's limited. What you go there for is the coffee. They won best café in 2011 and are consistently brilliant. Staff are friendly and cordial, the vegan muffins are great, and the coffee is to die for. Again, gang. DO go here. Just know why. And why is the coffee. Because the coffee is really good."

"This place is cheap as chips and rather tasty. When you are craving for something satisfying and filling or you're on a site string budget, this is a good place to come and feed yourself for cheap. <br/ Sometimes, just sometimes, cheap eat is the most therapeutic thing for the soul. Have you had those moments when... cooking is so mich more of an effort, and buying ingredients to cook is going to cost more than buying a bowl of wonton noodles and being served the food to you. It's a very local key eatery, with thrown together interior, and if you can over look that, you will be rewarded with a satisfying meal. <br/ If you don't feel like eating noodles, you can head next door which belongs to the same people I guess, and order a stir fried dish that comes on a hot plate. Because it is Sichuan cuisine, it tends to be on the more spicier side (so if you cannot take spice, this eatery might be an issue). <br/ The choice of dishes are endless. You could come here once a week and not get through the whole menu! Never a dull palate moment. <br/"
