"Yummy mom and pop restaurant in brownsville. great service and fresh seafood. I love the chipotle cream fish. also got the fish relleno, but not like a traditional filled poblano, but still good. when we set ourselves, they served us chips and salsa (excellent) and some delicious broth."

"The place itself and ambience is really nice and we were excited to try it out. However, the service was terrible, they took forever to bring our drinks. The waitress kept forgetting one of the drinks requested along with other requested items throughout our dinner, and the food took forever to come out. The drinks themselves weren’t even that great. When the food finally came out, we only had half of our party’s plates. Another plate came about 10 minutes later and the last plate about 15 min after that. For being a steakhouse, the two people at our table that had ordered steaks couldn’t even eat their steaks because they just tasted terrible. The pasta and burgers were okay, nothing extraordinary. Overall terrible experience and way overpriced for the quality of food being provided. Reading all the other reviews on google, I see these are all consistent issues. Management, please get your act together."

"We had a delicious lunch enjoying the Cajun chicken pasta with a ceaser salad to share between 2 people. There was enough pasta for leftovers we also got free chips and salsa with the app. I'm disappointed they no longer offer this version of the pasta on their 3 for Me. Overall great lunch!"

"When your in the mood for fresh seafood, you must try Coctelería El Amigo. I absolutely love the ceviche and recently tried the octopus with oysters. Yum! When we are in town, we try to call ahead because there are days that the restaurant runs out of fresh seafood due to a high volume of orders. So, we make sure we reserve our order. The staff is always friendly and always accommodating to its patrons. Daniel owns this gem of a place and it's obvious his success comes from his shining example of excellence in food and service. Be sure to put this on your list of places to try!"

"Dined in during lunchtime.. Nice place, Parking could be better. Food was tasty. Mostly fish and shrimp choices. I ordered the shrimp empenadas and fish Florentine. Both not what I expected. Which in of itself is not a bad thing, just different. (Shrimp Empanada was like crabcake breading stuffed in an empanada pastry. Super friendly waitstaff. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience."
