"The chips SMELLED musty, like when you leave foodstuffs in your pantry for years and then take a sniff and regret it. Still edible, just... off-putting. Clearly not fresh. The entrees were good (chalupa, bean burrito and cheese enchilada with sides) and the price was right for the lunch special, but we wouldn't return if we had the choice."

"Last night my Husband and I visited Pancheros on RIverside drive. We were served by the most fun/professional/proficient and polite employees I have ever seen working there. Robert and Derek were awesome. Not only were they kind and friendly but they were great at their job. They loaded those burritos perfectly, wrapped em like the pros they are and made us what we believe to be the best burritos we have ever had from any of the stores in Iowa city. These 2 are excellent employees and true bloody legends. These guys deserve to be recognised by the higher ups."

"Went there for lunch the other day, very delicious and overall positive experience. The entrance to the restaurant is behind the Highway 1 facing side, for your information. Chips and salsa were nice, chips were NOT stale as some other reviewers have stated, although things can happen. The salsa was a nice consistency, not too watery, no overly large chunks either. I ordered three enchiladas which came with rice and beans, ground beef, chicken, and pork. Pork was my favorite, was slightly spicy and not chewy like other restaurant's pork dishes can be. Chicken and ground beef were good, but next time I will order three pork enchiladas."

"BEST BEANS AND RICE IN IOWA CITY!!!! if you come here must order something served with beans and rice, or order the side of beans and rice. I also love the Guacamole Tostada it is one of the best things on the menu. Tonnes of large vegetarian options. great service and environment!!!"
