"Was also staying at the Travelodge just down the road, was recommended the pub by the receptionist, made the 5 minute walk round the corner to see the pub in front of me, thinking it it was closed at first, then walked around the other side and dubiously walked in, was surprised to find it quite busy, was sent to the kitchen hatch to talk to the chef, which I had't done before, but was nice to see a clean kitchen and the chef was very friendly, I ordered a curry and was asked how i would like it, mild, medium or hot. Took a while to come, but was in no rush, but was very surprised, thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!!"

"Went for the Wednesday steak night and to be honest this was far better than any steak house I have been to. Steak was so tender and tasty and sides were a joy. Some how fitted a dessert in and that was top restaurant quality as well. Need to visit more often."

"Bought pie and chips from here this evening after standing in a queue but I’m guessing it was because the other chip shop in the High street was closed at 5:45 ish.The bottom of the pie was rock hard as if it had been heated up before. The chips were nothing special either. As I was only passing through the area, I could not be bothered to return to complain but as you only get one first impression, I wouldn’t recommend. "One of the best buildings I have ever visited. Fortunately, I was not able to make a picture of my Sunday roast because it was too delicious and I ate it in no time. Sunday roasting was really amazing, like the chocolate cake. the crew was gentle and professional. the farm has many local products of high quality. the entire farm is located in the middle of a green area opposite, a lot of space for hiking. very proposed."

"On the way back to the campsite polstead with my wife and friends saved a drink. beautiful village around this jewel of a pubs. excellent service from the rental company. I had another piss. must also say that the village community shop has to be seen, many fresh local products to be reasonable. highly recommended."

"Booked a celebratory meal in the hotel's restaurant. Food was superb and is highly recommended, but the service was abysmal. The lead waitress/ supervisor failed to smile once and was very curt in all her responses. She lacked attentiveness, politeness and any positive traits of a good waitress. She also ruined our planned surprise despite earlier discussions to run things smoothly. I was truly beyond disappointment. Was hoping to opt out of the 12.5% service charge but unfortunately this is fixed. Paid up silently and left knowingly never to return."

"My friend ordered the lamb, but had to send it back because it was cold and hard. the cake was tasty, but the vegetables were overcooked and not good. the burger was dry. they seemed to be very short staff, as there was only one waiter and he was away from his feet, so the service was not good. very too expensive for what it is. disappointed"
