Little known but a super locality.Also internet and searched...Then she comes, the pub "to the Ösi" Not long waited and reserved for 5 people at 19:00. when we arrived at the 15 minutes before the reservation, only the native was occupied locally. my daughter (self acting as a managing director in gastronomy) asked me if this was really the right choice for the evening. (Of course, half an hour later all the places were occupied)We got our table reliant and felt very comfortable in the local. old signs (acquisition) and packaging of high percentage and much more. best were in all corners the nostalgic chewing gum. "We were three weary travelers looking for just one thing before we left Germany: a great apple strudel. We found this little place almost by accident, as we left the cathedral area and headed back to our river ship, but we couldn't have been more...thrilled with the strudel there. The owner was (justly) unhappy with us for being in a rush, but in the end he was nice and served us quickly, as we needed. I have many good memories of Germany and our river cruise, but this restaurant stands out in my mind as one of the best memories of all, for one simple reason, its amazing--light, moist, creatively served, fantastically delicious--apple strudel. If you are the owner, please forgive us our hurry, and accept our apologies for not being able to linger longer over that crazy-good strudel in your lovely little restaurant. If we ever return to Germany, we will make a special trip to Bamberg, just to taste this one apple strudel again--and say hello. And next time, kind sir, I promise, we won't be in such a rush!"
