"We had lunch in the outside area over the road, and greatly enjoyed watching life on Allées Paul Riquet. The menu offers a good choice, not just pasta and pizzas. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive, and the tables were not loaded with the umpteen polished glasses and linen napkins which promise a lengthy, expensive and torpor-inducing meal. My wife had a grilled steak with salad and frites, which she said was excellent. I had a Perigordine salad, which contained very generous amounts of both smoked breast and gesiers, together with a side order of frites. I loved it. That, with a couple of pichets of well chilled rosé, cost 28 Euros. Pretty good.Yes, it is touristy, but that's what we were. There must be quite a few of us around Béziers, so it's no crime to cater for us. Purists might find lots to be sniffy about, but for us it was just fine. We'll certainly go again."

"As soon as I can taste the horse tartare there I can never taste other things so it is good with homemade hummm fries! and some times on Sunday they organize concert meals and there in addition to a great meal there is a very good atmosphere!"

"We came across this place on a Monday evening and went in mainly because there was a good band playing. The waiter was pretty moody and told us they were only doing tapas and refused to give us a drinks menu, although other people seemed to be getting other food. Anyway, we ordered a cheese platter and the seafood platter, along with house red wine and 1664 beer. The food was good and all the other staff were friendly and attentive. Also had an ice cream dessert and a coffee. Good value - you pay up front so no need to wait for the bill."

"This is one of these places I really like. A restaurant as close to the market as possible. The inside food market in Beziers offers great fresh food and a yummie selection of fresh fish. Inside the market you find two or three small restaurants, Le Rouget Blue being one of them. We walked in the food hall on a Sunday afternoon and were so happy to see this place. Most tables were filled with happy and relaxed locals enjoying fresh seafood and wine. When you see this you just want to join them! We had oysters with Chardonnay, different kinds of seafood and really enjoyed. The lady who served us was really helpful and attentive. I love this place!"
