"Found owners, Vicky and Ricky very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. I have never used accommodation where it was shared facilities but everything was kept in pristine condition. With the pub being a local establishment I found the customers very friendly...and made my stay more home like. I’ve been here for over months and even with the opportunity to relocate to accommodation closer to where I’m working I have decline so I could continue staying here. I’m a man of routine, some could say OCD but I’m more then happy with the condition my room is maintained, with my bedding changed twice a week as I requested and clean towels are always available when I request. For any workers looking for accommodation I would defiantly recommend."

"I’m on a mission to find a decent Sunday roast, unfortunately I didn’t find it today… I’ve heard great reviews from friends about The Castle Inn so decided to give it a go today. We were shown to a tiny table that had no hope of accommodating our plates plus the vegetable serving plate and gravy boat so my husband asked for a takeaway instead of dining in, despite being told they were fully booked and had no other table miraculously they found us somewhere else to sit (much appreciated btw). The meal arrived and the portions were very generous. The vegetables were all cooked well and my turkey was moist and well cooked, my beef was very chewy though. The mashed potato (of which there was loads) was so overpowering with pepper it was inedible. The roast potatoes were chargrilled but fluffy inside. My husbands gammon was dry. We were asked if the meal was ok and it was just about ok, certainly not good. Unfortunately this is another local establishment where I won’t be eating a Sunday roast again"

"1st time eating here, cracking price for a meal deal 2 x 12 pizzas, large chips and 2 cans of drink for £12.50! Food was hot, fresh and tasted awesome! Will definitely be returning, cheers guys!"

"Went for Sunday lunch, luckily we booked as they were quite busy. From the moment we walked in we had excellent service from the bartender to the waitress and the food was yummy! Very fresh home cooked carvery selection and we highly recommend the...mandarin cheesecake for dessert, very yummy! The only reason we haven't given stars is because our table was near a walk way my husband was a bit chilly, we couldn't really change tables as they were busy but the food service deserves rating"

"Since new management took over this little gem has been getting better and better. Fish is fresh and top quality, kebabs and burgers are done on the griddle to order, pizzas are excellent and loads of variety, free local delivery, the staff and owner are great, can't fault them."
