"I had only carving and salat with chips and gravy, as well as a coffee, but it was prepared with care that it seemed like a much more important meal. the chef is to congratulate and the coffee that was prepared. by bobbi was perfect for what I wanted."

"We came thinking it was more like a trattoria (pizza and pasta) so we were a little surprised when it was more fine dining - only 4-5 selections for entrees, mains etc. Food was very good and so were the wines, no complaints about the service either - butJust be aware that a shared entree, 2 x mains and a bottle of good local red cost us $130 - as I said, more fine dining than a cheap and cheerful pizza and pasta place."

"This tavern offers $7.50 chicken chips as long as they buy a drink. they are perfectly cooked by a large, generous size. even the salat dressing is delicious, they get more than they expect for the price. the tavern is busy, even...at lunchtime in the bar to order. definitiw great worth is worth falling for a great meal."

"We were staying at the Ibis Budget Motel and was walking to Hungry Jacks for dinner when we spotted the Westside Hotel and decided to give it a try. The decor is smart and modern. The menu seemed a little basic but that made it easier to chose a meal. We started off with the parmesan & sweet chilli bread. It came out quickly and was very good. For the mains I had the Swiss Chicken Breast with ham (it was a bacon rasher), cheese & mustard sauce with chips & a side bowl of salad. The mustard sauce was a little too overpowering for my liking. The chips were delicious. The meals are huge and I couldn't finish it all. My husband had T-bone steak with Bombay sauce. He asked for his steak to be cooked medium rare, but it was rare...very rare. We had no idea what Bombay sauce was (we still don't) but it was very tasty and went well with the steak and chips. I had a Blue Cosmos cocktail and I would have liked another but couldn't get anyone to serve us on the dining room side of the bar. My husband even went around to the front bar and still couldn't get served so I had to settle for a glass of water, which is self serve at the bar but unfortunately is room temperature."
