"Called for late lunch, Unfortunately they stop food at 3pm when they close at 5pm so ate earlier than I wished. The staff were very pleasant and the food was plentiful and very good, also good value. We will definitely return on a day they stay open till later."

"We had fish and chips at the Chip Box Furness Vale last night as we passed from Haddon Hall to Cheshire; it was delicious and the staff were lovely. My wife had the last piece of cod and I had scampi. The lady apologised that she had charged me for a large, but it was a regular and she refunded the difference such integrity. But the important thing was the quality. We have fish and chips from Caernarfon to Nottingham while we tour, and you won’t find any better than here. Well done and we look forward to returning."

"We’ve been to this cafe a couple of times now, always tying it in with a visit to the ‘visitor centre’ which essentially is a glorified gift shop. The cafe is nice, spacious (not toilets these are in the outside public toilet block which I don’t like! . It does have baby changing facilities though. Note the opening hours are 09:30 16:00 which, when you arrive at 15:30 makes getting an order in eating a tight turnaround! We had cake and also had ordered a bowl of chips these took a long time and very much tasted like frozen chips just deep fried. Not very tasty. Cake and coffee were lovely though. Service was ok. No free wifi."

"We came for the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap and there was no disappointment. Turkey Yorkshire was delicious. I ordered the vegan cob without the mushroom and was offered a vegan sausage instead and it was out of this world. Friendly service, laid back atmosphere, would definitely recommend."
