"Came here as a family of 5 adults. Sat outside having a few drinks which was lovely, really nice beer garden and table service. Went inside for dinner as prices seemed quite reasonable and the menu looked good. We could all find something to fancy. Once we ordered food we got the wine menu and it was really expensive even for a glass of wine nevermind a bottle. The food was tasty and the setuvr was great but we all thought the portions sizes were quite small. Tasty but you can easily get more for your money elsewhere in Kandersteg."

"The service in this restaurant was so poor that we left before we ordered the food. The terrace is nice in summer. But the restaurant inside looks really old fashioned. The food at the neighbour restaurant Ermitage was delicious."

"Über eine Stunde Wartezeit in einem 10% besetzten Restaurant zur Mittagszeit an einem normalen Samstag; essen war dann lauwarm bis kalt, verkocht und fad; kulanterweise hat uns ein neuer Kellner dann einen Kaffee "aufs Haus" offeriert. Bei über 130.- Rechnung Enttäuschung pur!"

"We visited here for an evening meal and were not disappointed.For 55 Swiss francs we had mains, pudding and drinks. The portions are large, and freshly cooked. Staff are extremely helpful and did all they could to ensure that our evening was satisfactory. Would definitely recommend."
