"My favourite chip shop when I’m in the mood for a more traditional tasting meal. They cook with beef drippings so the flavour is different from other chip shops. If I’m in the mood for a cleaner taste then I go to Denny’s around the corner."

"Experience didn't get off to the best start when bar staff got a drinks order wrong, she didn't seem very attentive and felt like was a burden rather then a paying customer when queried. Food took about 30 minutes to arrive which is pretty standard compared to other pub grub, however even though the burger was succulent and was of good standard the fries arrived cold. When brought to the table I see they are still delivering with dirty towels, something which was brought up in a previous review and has apparently being fed back, well unfortunately this is still happening. The chap delivering this reached across me to hand to another member of our party which I found a little rude and ignorant. The whole experience was OK, and filled a hole but was nothing startling and think they are probably better places"

"Visited for a evening meal with some of my colleagues and a customer. I haven’t been to the restaurant before and was very impressed with the location and the surroundings of the venue. We sat outside as the weather was sunny. Lovely staff and in particular a young lady that I believe was fairly new? However she was extremely attentive and polite and even came out and the end of her shift to check we were ok and required anything else? Lovely touch and much appreciated. Will definitely revisit soon."

"We had a Sunday carvery with two drinks £23:50, you are given a table buzzer which will call you when its your turn to get your food, service was prompt, staff polite, tables and area clean and tidy, and the food was good, and typical to be expected, based on the price, service, and the carvery itself which included 3 meats and the usual vegetables we give this a solid 4 stars, would go to 5 if the roast potatoes were not so soft. We will be returning."
