"We'd heard lots about the food and weren't disappointed. Yes, it's a pub with pub decor and pub ambience, but that was our expectation. Service was pub-style friendly and our food arrived quickly. We had the 2 courses for $20 lunch option, and it was...amazing value. A very generous serve of fresh, crisply and lightly battered flathead with tasty, fresh vegetables. My friend's pork roast was also generous and tasty. The desserts were delicious. The $20 menu has limited options, but still enough choice to appeal to most tastebuds. Although we were there on a weekday for lunch, it was very busy. Our table for 2 was tucked against a window at the side which protected us somewhat from the busy environment."

"New management at the Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania is bringing in a host of changes to modernise what is potentially a fantastic venue. Meals are served more often and the quality has improved out of sight. There's a small dining area away from the bar, the service was good, the meals were good and the view is wonderful. They also serve bar meals and breakfast on Sunday which are cafe quality. We've been there a few times and haven't been disappointed and we'll be going back. Worth a visit for the view alone."

"Simplest way to put it, huge potential to be awesome and when the right cook is on shift, pizzas are excellent, cooked well, nice even mix of ingredients. Then the other %50 of the time, not so good, under/over cooked sloppy ingredient mixture. HIT AND MISS REALLY.
