"My wife and I have been here a few times for lunch and once for dinner. The service has always been good and the food is very good but the view is great. Try to get a table by the window and watch the boating world go by.The often have music on the weekends in season and once we showed up at a karaoke night.You can eat in the pub upstairs or dine in the fancy restaurant down below, which has a great outside deck"

"Kayaked on a beautiful summer day to Dingy Dock. The kayaks stick to their private dock. Waitress quickly found us a table outside with shadows. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our server Kim was very good. The fish tacos and the jug...Salad were fantastic! Very delicious with good portion sizes! A very pleasant and pleasant lunch” Be back soon!"

"My wife and two children had dinner here and were really disappointed. After reading some great reviews about the decor and menu options we were expecting a fun and interesting experience. Instead, while the kids liked the decor and the service ok at best the food was simply horrible. We both ordered the fish and chips but what we got instead was a deep fried lump of what tasted like slimy, previously frozen, indecipherable white fish. And my Fanny Bay oysters tasted similarly. As did the highly recommended deep fried mac and cheese! Basically everything tasted the same! If I were a rep from Fanny Bay I would be upset at the way in which this Place butchered some of the best oysters in the world. Will not return and will not recommend. Pass on this Place and find somewhere else to spend your money because these guys just don't seem to care."

"We were four couples that went there to celebrate an anniversary. The service was very good and our waitress was prompt and knowledgable. For starters two people had salads which were okay and three people had the escargot which were again okay. My husband and I shared the goat cheese and tomato bruschetta. The two pieces of bread were a nice size. On top was a good portion of goat cheese, sliced green onion and very underripe tomato chunks. It was served on a very large plate that had a circular drizzle of balsamic reduction as decoration. There was no balsamic reduction on the actual bruschetta, so I asked for a little more on the side. This came...no problem. When we received the check, we were charged $0.79 extra for this. For entrees, 3 of us had the Filet Oscar...medium rare ($31). Although cooked nicely, one person received a cold meal and had to send it back to be reheated. Since I do not eat potatoes (they only offer garlic mashed, fries or baked) I asked to have this replaced with a few slices of tomato which they did (3 slices). The tomato was very underripe and again, I was surprised when the check came and I was charged $1.50 for the tomato. Surely not having a baked potato slathered with sour cream, chives and bacon would have covered this cost? The shrimp on the Oscar sauce were nicely cooked but there was barely a teaspoon of crab and the bernaisse sauce had split and therefore tasted very greasy. Three people ordered the 6 or 8 oz prime rib dinner. The slabs of meat were all a medium brown in colour....no pink or red or crispy edge showing. The cook was okay, but the taste was mediocre. The cost for each couple with starters, entrees, dessert and wine was approximately $150. For this price we expected a much better meal and no additional charges for small changes. Although the location on the harbour is very nice, the interior is very rustic and quite dated. There are certainly better restaurants in Nanaimo if you are having a special celebration."

"We haved the best Italian dinner with my family last week , I been in Italy couple times and I can tell this place have the best Italian meals ever have in the Island perfect for our special night. A special place for sure in Nanimo , Great atmospheree and good service will be back for sure !! thanks"

"Visited 23 May 2017. Establishment ambiance appealing. Great food,large quantities and excellent service. There were six of us and everyone had a different dish. Everyone enjoyed. Limited desert menu, but the portions served are large and tasty!"

"Very disappointed in the enchiladas. The sauces tasted store bought, Ranchero sauce close to spagetti sauce. Verde looked and tasted like the stuff in a grocery store jar. The side dishes (beans and rice) were cold and the enchiladas were barely warm. We saw our order sit in the pass shelf for awhile before being delivered to our table."
