"Lone Star New Plymouth, New Zealand. As one of my all time favorite I ordered the Lamb dish my partner ordered Campfire Burrito (veg). Both the dishes were excellent delicious. Compliments to the Chefs. We tried cocktails, Mojito Moscow Mule. Both drinks were a disappointment. Mojito was bland served with stale spoilt mint leaves whilst the latter drink tasted just plain ice ginger beer. Upon asking Chengchen at the bar to change drink she arrogantly said she would drink Mojito served like that. We spend so much at Lone Star this is the service we get. Jacob our waiter was friendly polite so that was good to see. Would be great to see if staff are trained well on how to mix cocktails mind you we do know our drinks hence saying."

"Everything was over cooked and my aunties steak roll looked like it had cat food in it. Also needed to be drained a bit longer also the needed the oil changed."

"Dedicated frier that produces the most delicious crispy frits. Most items in the menu can be made gf, including burgers. Daughter had her own Gf Snack pack with f chicken nuggets, chips and a drink. It was great. Everyone enjoyed the taste of their take. Very recommended to order before it was a long wait. But support them. It's worth it."

"I come in semi-regularly for either a $6 pack, or a scoop of chips or wedges. The people are very nice, but occasionally the language barrier gets in the way. The quality of the food I order has always been very good. Since the unexpected change of ownership a few months ago, the earlier closing time of 9pm means I have to call ahead if I leave work later. I still highly recommend this place."

"The $28 steak meal, claims that a salad is included. The salad is a few leaves of lettuce and shredded cabbage. That is NOT a salad. The chips were ex ellent as was the two small steak pieces. But sorely dissapointed for $28. Not worth the price....."
