"I have ordered food fro dong dongs before, and I do find it a hit or miss with the quality of food standards. Although the lady that works behind the counter is v friendly, I have never understood why, staff have never taken water and a sponge to the front door etc and gave it all a very overdue clean. On the food side of things, I had the misfortune of deciding to treat myself and daughter to a carry out on Friday 24th July 2015 at around 6.00 pm. I ordered fried rice, chips and beef curry. The rice was sooo dark brown with oil and to my disgust and horror, the beef was smelling bit nasty and strange colour, so I took it out of the curry sauce to discover, a piece of WIRE!!!!!!! What if My 8 yr old or I had eaten this?! Or choked more to the point. M. Rea Newry"

"Lunch with family. Hadn’t been for a few years as I don’t live at home anymore. Called in as I used to enjoy. Food and service was excellent, good portion sizes. Good menu, lots of choice to suit all. Highly recommended."

"Stopped today while visiting family massive well cooked portions. I had the grill and my wife had the full Irish breakfast both struggled to finish. Great friendly staff a real old school greasy spoon. Though the fry certainly aren't greasy. Fast service. Good food and full bellies can't complain about that. Highly recommended"

"We expect to be relaxed at lunch but this was far from relaxing. The staff ran around the restaurant and the noise was unreal. The food was OK but the atmosphere was awful."

"The food is delicious. I had fried noodles with chicken. Huge portion and came with a spicy chilli dip. Service is friendly and great. I don't think a lot of people know about this place, but well worth a visit. £19 for 4 of us. Can't recommend it enough. My only negative is that it's only open during the day."

"We have lunch here quite often. It has always been absolutely delicious. There are slight variations on the menus, with different specials on each time we go. Between myself, my husband and our three kids, we have tried lots of dishes. The ribs were a big hit, and today I was absolutely delighted with the squid. The accompanying salads and slaws very unique and delicious. I’ve even started to put a few fennel seeds into my slaw at home thanks to the ideas I’ve picked up at Hunters Moon. My husband had the steak sandwich. It was perfectly cooked and very tender. The sauce that was with it was gorgeous. The staff are very accommodating, offering the children smaller portions of the adult menus. Very friendly service over all. The price is another great draw. Lunch for 5 (one of the kids had an adult meal), £34. For the amount and quality of food we got, I think that was great. We will definitely be back!"
