"When you order the basic continental breakfast you never really know what you are going to get - but these croissants were the best we have eaten all trip - absolutely delicious. Great friendly service and a lovely place to sip a beer and watch the world pass by."

"This little restaurant is worth visiting. The food is always of a high standard and Madame is very friendly.only open 3 evenings at end of week usually. Peak season may be more. Lunches good in ski season but need to book.situated opposite the bottom of the Les Communailles lift."

"O'Communailles is one of those little gems that you would only give to close friends for fear that the entire resort would start going there. The place is very cozy both inside and outside, with a nicely decorated terrace offering a stunning view over the Mont Blanc. You could say some other places offer similar setups and could be right, but what makes the place really stand apart is the food. This is a real restaurant serving real in-house-made food mixing Piedmontese and French traditions. Everything is made out of quality ingredients. Quite a gap compared to what you could expect from a restaurant located on the slopes. Lastly, staff is friendly and efficient, which adds to the experience.Living in the Geneva area, we’ve been visiting quite a number of other places in St-Gervais and this one is an absolute favourite. So yes, it's slightly off the rest of the resort, but well worth the detour!"

"We stopped for lunch on the hill at this small restaurant and had a wonderful meal. It is a very casual restaurant where you share tables when it is busy. There were a number of local specialties on the menu – think lots of bread, ham, egg, melted cheese….delicious. It felt very authentic to us and not in the least pretentious. We thoroughly enjoyed it."

"Ate there for the second time. First time last year, en route for Les Contamines Montjoie ski resort and today en route fom Italy to Belgium. The restaurant is calm, nice and beautifully decorated. The menu is not very rich but you will find plenty tasty things in there, especially the regional food. The prices are pretty high yet fair for a touristic region like this. Carefully though, the location is placed near the road, between some series of tangled curves... you might get sick driving away with a full (and full will be !!! ) stomach :) Enjoy !"
