"I called ahead to reserve a table for a party of 5 and probably also their parking (run in the front, exit from the back) was quite busy, which was a good sign (there are on street places around the residential area behind the pub, when the park is full) when entering we were shown on our table, which was already bloomed with spicy and menus chosen a good one. it is a beautiful open environment with high ceilings and distant tables; some tvs were with different shows, but mute so it wasn't intrusive, and the whole place didn't seem loud. I chose the torte, which was a hearty round single steak-ale, which was a good rich inner (which was just as good as I found the accompanying pot of gravur a little thin) and with heaps (sweet) and chips (krepp and dry as I like it). there is an option of maic, but I like to dive chips into the cake. my colleague had fish n chips, a good size portion with dry tight dough, a pot of muddy heaps and a separate tartar sauce. others had veggie lasagne (no vegetarian) served with garlic bread and a good charalate they enjoyed immensely. also was selected to make ham, eggs and chips a few thick slices cold ham, two fried eggs and many chips for a fairly large plate. I also enjoyed the beer: they had a fair selection, and although it was quite busy (good 75% occupancy) the waiters stayed by to make sure that our drinks were filled up. Although I only saw two or three waiters in the participation, they seem to be quite good to get all the tables and keep service levels high for everyone who eat there."

"Six of us went to eat on Saturday night, three couples. good was welcome when we arrived. we were sitting on a large table near the big wood burner. the young waitress has done us all night about an excellent work. never too pushy, but always on the hand. 4 of us had godfathers who were really good, the other two had garlic mushrooms that were also very good. for the net the steaks were cooked nicely, like the chips. the cajun and fajita were also enjoyed. the gammon was enjoyed, although a little over boiled. sweets were polished to finish a good night. star of the show was the girl on the bar that was bubbly and fun and really looked around us. Great night, give this place one away."

"Never been here before but was recommended. We weren't given a menu when we were shown to our table, we had to get someones attention to request one. Waited quite a long time for our order to be taken, but the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We originally ordered the 4 wave menu, but after wave 1 requested it be changed to the 2 wave one, which they did accomodate. The first wave was nice, a meze board, but the second was disappointing. A massive bowl of shrimp crackers, cheap cuts of meat, some rice. Cost £30 per head which I thought was way over priced. We sat upstairs and the corner we were sat in was so dark you could hardly read the menu or see what you were eating. I would return to try a different dish, but request to sit downstairs"
