"Cold and wet night out of season and most of the restaurants in Silves we saw looked pretty much the same. Across the bridge however was salvation. Quirky uniquely Portuguese decor, a roaring log fire and hearty food at a very reasonable price."

"Em dia de feira medieval íamos fisgados na Marisqueira Rui, mas esta estava com um fila inacreditável e acabamos por ficar no restaurante ao lado. Fomos para o leitão e fomos muito bem servidos. Leitão para dois adultos e uma criança, com sobremesa e uma garrafinha de Murganheira tinto bruto € 60,00. Melhor impossível."

"After being held up on the N124-1 and journeying around the countryside, we needed something to eat and drink. We had a little wander around and found this little snack bar. Very pleasant staff and then home cooked little pastries were presented at the counter....We had little quiches, tarts and a ham cheese pastry. Remarkably low prices!! Having walked around the town we also returned for some coffees and a freshly squeezed orange juice (and a couple of ice creams). Worth a visit."

"Went to Al-Karib three days in a row. Food was fantastic, the bacon lover's pizza was to die for . They also do good breakfast and lunches.The staff are very polite, and speak good english, service was quick, the 2 waitresses Carla and Fatima, kept a happy and smiling face even though they were rushed off their feet . Busy place = Good food .Can't wait to go back ."

"Great choice of reasonably priced tapas. As a family of 5, we chose 10 dishes, which was more than enough, and every dish was lovely. Wine at 1.75 euros a glass was an added bonus. Our waitress was excellent, spoke good English and looked after...us very well."

"Visite le 19/07/2017 en famille (2 adultes + 2 enfants).Le restaurant ne paye pas de mine de l'extérieur, mais vaut vraiment le coût.Placés sous une tonelle avec brumisateur, au calme (loin du feu, donc pas génés par les odeurs et le passage).Accueil rapide, simple et agréable. Service rapide, et serveurs disponibles.Poulet délicieux (cuisson et assaisonnement justes) accompagné de frites fraiches et d'une jolie salades de tomates. Prix très raisonnable. Merci !"
