"After living in St Ives for almost two years it is the first time we visited the Bovine Brasserie. In short - no less than excellent! Service is very good and quick, atmosphere is very nice. Our two boys were offered pencils and colouring pictures sheets. Dining room personnel is very polite and smiling. The food - to my taste, simply brilliant! Steaks, burgers, birds, fish and eventually the ribs,both pork and beef. Fantastic! Kids menu includes pasta, chicken, burger and rump steak, drink and chips, accompanied with a scoop of ice cream. By all means worth a visit, and for the rest - just check the pictures out."

"The first time I went it was ok, customer service was sub par and the table was cheap and wobbled a lot. The second time my husband and I went for a Thursday night $10 chicken parmigiana. Not only was the customer service sub par again, but we waited a whole hour for two parmigianas and we given lame apologies and no reason as to why it was taking so long.When we finally got our parmigianas, I lifted mine up to get the chips out from underneath and it had a long strand of black hair cooked into it! I could actually lift part of the parmigiana with the hair still stuck in it. I complained to the owner about the food and although he remade both mine and my husbands parmigiana, it took another 15 minutes.The whole time all we got was lacklustre apologies and stupid excuses, including comments that blamed 'murphies law', 'chances and probability', 'that's just human error' and 'there's no women in the kitchen so I don't know how it happened'.There was no offers of free drinks or dessert and we still ended up paying full price! We left feeling physically sick as the parmigianas were thin and didn't taste very nice. Definitely won't be going back ever again!"

"Over the years we have driven past this place and have been impressed by the number of people queuing up. Olympia had also been recommended by a friend a few years back. This week we decided to stop off and give it a try. We ordered the standard battered fish of the day with chips. The fish was supposed to be cod. The fish was as dry as a Ritz cracker! Also, the fish didn't seem like any cod I have ever had. I don't know if this was because it was so badly cooked, or if it wasn't actually cod. Even the chips were somehow anaemic, very dry and bland tasting. Our attempts to make the fish and chips more palatable by slathering in salt and vinegar couldn't rescue the food. None of us could finish off the meal as it was like eating cardboard. One thing I noticed was that there weren't many people queuing up this time; very different from what we have seen in the past. We wondered if this place is under new management? If the service wasn't friendly, I would probably give it one star."

"This place has changed hands .... now Cherry Beans, but basically, same menu. I opted for the Thai Beef salad and other meal was Wagu Beef Sliders with caramelised onion, and beetroot and tomato salsa. Beef was very tender, so good quality obviously used and it is a lovely light meal; the sliders were yummy.. The meal with ice coffee was about AUD47 ... so same as prices around the mall. Service was good, and we have found previous occasions, service the same efficiency... Would recommend."

"Enjoying the wicked case of food poisoning for my wife I after the Caesar salad yesterday... Management were kind enough to refund the purchase $10 with sincere apologies. doesn't make up however for time off work and the symptoms (details to be left out).. Usually the venue does a very good job however we will be eating elsewhere following yesterdays debacle."

"Excellent fish and chips! Generous sized flake with thin crisp batter, golden chips and delicious fries.. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. Beach and parks a short walk away, great for a family picnic."
