"Best hands down!. There are a lot of f&c shops in this area. These guys are by far the best and most consistent so although we sometimes try one of the others, we always wonder why we bothered. Prices have just gone up, but it is still one of the cheapest f&c shops in Geelong."

"Sorry, but I was so disappointed in this place. I was hungry, it was the only place open and I was desperate. The popcorn chicken was oily and awful. A couple of nuggets and I had eaten far too much of their food...if you could call it that. During the night I felt ill and was happy to be eating real food for breakfast."

"We lunched at Mt Duneed Estate recently in a group of four and were all disappointed with the meals. The menu is not extensive and offers mainly casual or share dishes. Our table ordered flatbread and dips as a starter, the bread was fresh, dips yummy and in generous quantities. Our mains, Open Souvlaki, Chicken Sliders and Bangers’n’Mash were all underwhelming, dry, poorly presented and lacked any “wow” factor, we could’ve done better at an ordinary country pub! The dining area is cavernous but tastefully decorated so no complaints about that, the staff are also friendly and proficient. There’s nothing special about this venue and I would have to think very hard before returning again for a meal."

"Yes, it's the middle of winter, and it was a Monday night, but it was my birthday and over the years we have found 'The Isles' to be consistently good. That being said, our last visit was most disappointing. Greeted at the door by the waiter, his first response when seeing our group of five was 'But you only booked for four' which seemed to indicate quite a problem, despite there only being two other occupied tables.The wine list is very extensive but is not matched by the quality of the food or service. We all thought that despite the prices, they were just pub meals at best and when I pointed out to the waiter that my chicken was undercooked, after briefly taking it back to the kitchen, he returned with exactly the same dish and told me it was impossible that it would be undercooked. I could not eat the meal and was not offered any alternative. I would have even settled for two minutes in the microwave! This took the shine off an otherwise enjoyable evening."
