It added that creamy, tangy kick that I've come to love. However, I did notice that the hot sauce and rice lacked a bit of the boldness and depth of flavor that I remembered. Nevertheless, when combined, the flavors worked well together, creating a tasty ensemble.What truly stood out was the excellent service I received. The staff was attentive and courteous throughout my meal, making the dining experience enjoyable. However, there was one drawback--the request for a tip for simply doing their job. That's a practice I find quite off-putting and it deserves to be called out. A tip should reflect exceptional service that goes above and beyond, not just routine tasks.While the food at The Halal Guys isn't what I would call inexpensive, considering it's primarily rice and sliced meat, it's worth noting that the atmosphere of the restaurant is enjoyable and clean. The only downside is the aluminum chairs, which can be a bit chilly and less comfortable. On the upside, their sturdiness ensures they might come handy in a fight to be used as weapons by disgruntled customers, so there's that.In conclusion, The Halal Guys delivers a satisfying meal that's reminiscent of the beloved street cart experience. Despite a few flavor nuances and the tip request, it's a place where you can enjoy a delightful, well-prepared meal in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Here's hoping they compensate their servers fairly for their hard work."

"This has been my spot for the past month, unfortunately today I walked in to a smell of bleach and the workers cleaning while ordering my food I think it’s very disrespectful to walk in a fast food restaurant and be greeted with the smell of chemicals or employee’s serving food while spraying and cleaning during lunch hours. The smell of all the chemicals made me loose my appetite, every bite of food felt like it had chemicals in it due to the strong smell. Definitely going to stay away for a while"

"Despite me receiving a confirmation e-mail, I was surprised to find that the restaurant staff never received my online reservation for our party of 12; when we arrived at 6:50 pm for our 7:15 pm time-slot, they informed me that although they used to book through OpenTable, they were no longer using that site for reservations and now use Yelp exclusively. Despite this baffling, potentially disastrous turn of events, the manager was able to quickly accommodate our large anniversary celebration and seated us together without any hesitation; for this alone, the establishment receives high marks. The food was fresh, flavorful and served quickly, in abundant portions; prices were fair to slightly over the expected, but within the norms for the area and venue. I would certainly dine there again, albeit through their preferred reservation booking system... now that I know... and now YOU know... Kalí óreksi! (Bon appétit !"
