"Despite all the good reviews we were really disappointed. Taking a late booking we arrived to be told that there were only two portions of carvery left as they had been very busy, we were then told if they were running out then they usually phoned those who have booked. We received no such courtesy. The staff must have been really tired from their busy afternoon because we had to wait for an hour before seeing any food. We didn't order a dessert (much to my grandson's disappointment) simply because we didn't have another hour to be mucked about. The food was in decent sized portions but the quality was distinctly average. Prices are about what one would expect. Unlikely we shall visit again I hope they can up their game. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1"

"The menu looked amazing it was refreshing to see different meals on offer and not the usual meals you can get anywhere. The food was delicious, good sized portions stayed hot. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and nothing seemed too much for them. Lovely atmosphere will definitely be recommending it to other people"

"We booked the table for mothers day through Open table but when we contacted the to ensure the table was booked they said they had not received the Opentable booking, despite us receiving a confirmation booking from Opentable and had no places available! Clearly we were very unhappy and disappointed as we had relative coming from a great distance to meet for Mother Day and we had to find somewhere else to go at short notice. This has now happened twice at the same restaurant."

"Although they could not find our open booking that was not a problem because there were reserve tables and I had the booking on my phone. The food was very pleasant and the wine was more than perfect! But I wasted about it. The “fixed prices” menu was comprehensive, but for the “extra” costs for certain things."
