"Of us had a meal on new years eve and the staff were accommodating and told us up front that the kitchen would close at of us ordered belly pork which included a Yorkshire pudding and a selection of market vegetables and...we paid at the till before the meal. Unfortunately the dishes were brought out without the Yorkshire puddings and with just green beans for the veg. We were told that the chef had a different menu and that yorkshire puddings were not on that menu. No offer of an alternative was made and the apology seemed a little late/half hearted. This is a shame because the belly pork itself was very tasty (gravy slightly oversalted) and there were no complaints about the vegetarian sausage dish or the risotto also ordered."

"Poor for a 4 Star hotel. Main issue this Bar/ Dining area in this lovely Hotel we have used frequently but in the past. Does not allow customers to operate a table tab. Consequently we (4) had to get up and order our drinks and food separately. Each time we wanted a drink and as our Starters were on seperate order they came out at different times. Not much but it shouldn't happen at all. When I asked the Bar Manager why they didn't allow tabs, he couldn't really tell me, so I asked if it was because we might run away without paying, he actually said yes. The Food. My wife is convinced her Scampi was not real but a mashed fish concoction. The rest was OK but certainly had better in local pubs and paid a lot less. I used to love going to their Silver Service restaurant and casually the Carvery. Just Something Missing Now!!!!"

"Ordered early Sunday evening for delivery. After about 40 minutes the restaurant called enquiring when we were collecting. Not sure how I managed to order for collection when I put my address in twice once for delivery and once for card payment. However, the Griddle delivered quickly after that and the food was hot. Food was great in my husbands opinion and ok in mine (thought the burger tasted a little too spicy), though I really like the chips. Cost is a little high for fast food as it was just under £30 for two (2 courses plus a dessert to share) but I expect we will order again."
