"This seems like a good balance between quality and price in the heady tourist center of Copenhagen. The main plates are unadorned; they recommend two side dishes, each of which adds another US$6 or more; they even charge for the sauces. My salmon was well-cooked but came only with a lemon wedge and a half sprig of parsley for US$24; the small side salad was US$6; each glass of (very decent) Pinot Grigio was US$14; total bill was US$58 before tip, without the second side dish or sauces. Service was good and the sound track was excellent...probably a good balance for this area of the city."

"What a gem. Amazing food with friendly service and reminded me of when we visited the French vineyards and had home cooked meal with the families. Food was amazing and it was not expensive either. Well worth the travel from mid town."

"I have over the last couple of years come here quite a few times, as I live a few hundred meters from Sorte Hest (the Black Horse) as the neighborhood and the shop is also known as. Every time I’m disappointed. Stale, day old bread and cakes. Even the rye bread is a disappointment. If you are a tourist in Copenhagen, try our Danish pastry and bread somewhere else."

"Our visit to Copenhagen fell on my birthday, and I reserved a table for me and my wife. More relaxed vegan food was my wish, and I got exactly what I wanted. For beginners, I had BBQ Tempeh Fritte, she had a mushroom-cauliflower combo – excellent! My head was lasagna, and it was juicy, rich, tasty, one of the best I ever had. The burrito of my wife was a feast of beans, and the side salads and tomatoes were exceptional in both dishes. We finished with a piece of cake of the day, and boy was so good! This was one of the clear highlights of our three-week vegan tour through Europe."
