"I'm looking for something you can take for a walk. Staff quickly led us to a delicious vegan CLT (cheese, salad and tomatoes) sandwich with Mayo. They packed it comfortably in Cling film, instead of in a well sealed tub of vegan Koleslaw also. Very delicious and delicious sandwiches and just £4.00 per. EDIT: Today again eaten and eaten. Had cheeseburgers with vegan Coleslaw, Pommes and Mayo. Had chocolate cake and a chocolate ice cream for afters. Everything was in the place, delicious. Updated by previous rating on 2023-03-23"

"Sadly the tearoom does not seem as good as it was. There seemed a disconnect between the cakes on display and the actual cake served chocolate cake looked dark and rich but the slice served was lighter and the sponge was abit dry also the slice served did not seem as generous as those on display . The carrot cake was good. The Earl Grey tea was more like English breakfast tea dark brown with the feintest hint of Bergamot perhaps the previous pot had Earl Grey in it?! served with tired slices of lemon. Service was indifferent as if it was an inconvenience to arrive at 3 p.m yet the tearoom closes at 4! Perhaps the new staff need a bit more training as the regular staff are warm and welcoming. Such a shame really as the tearoom has always been such a treat after a pleasant walk through the wonderful grounds."

"Was passing through at 3.30pm on a Sunday afternoon and saw a sign for The Garden Station, checked that it was open (stated was open until 4pm) so drove up. The whole setting looked lovely and we walked up to the cafe. There were tables and seats outside, under cover and inside. We could see a number of children playing and having fun in the garden. We entered the cafe and were told it was closed. Shame, as it looked an ideal place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake. Better signage required !!"
