"Monday evenings appear to be quiet in Sausset so chose L'Amphore as it was relatively more bustling than anywhere else that had chosen to open. Didn't have high hopes but the food and service definitely exceeded our expectations. We had a moderately priced set menu that included good mussels, squid stuffed with mince, fish soup and chocolate cake for dessert. All dishes were more than adequate. Little English was spoken by the staff and little French spoken by ourselves but despite that the overall impression was of a warm and friendly restaurant without pretensions. Would have returned had we spent another evening in the town."
