"Not necessarily easy to find. We actually wandered into this place because we had to use the ATM out front - I assume a number of people find it for the same reason. There is an indoor space with an ATM and then a door to a small cozy restaurant called The Beet. It struck us as "a sign!" - because my friend is vegan and this place was advertising Vegan and Organic all over the place. Menu looked tasty so we entered. I had the Half Avocado - it was delicious! It was a half avocado with mixed veggies, rice, avocado bits, bean sprouts and peanut sauce. Everything was SUPER fresh and the combination of ingredients was on point. I am a meat eater but this time decided to get a vegan dish, in the end I had no regrets! (Sign me up?) I also don't usually go for avocado except guac based on texture but this was perfect for me. Rice gave me the texture I wanted.This is a great place for friends who are a combination of vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters to get a fulfilling meal together. (Not always easy). My friend also really enjoyed their dish. Of note is that this place had families (babies and up), students, friends, dates - everything. A well rounded place for any group. They also have these cookies, advertised as being addictive. I implore you to try them! Depending on your diet there are different options. I had the peanut butter with chocolate chip cookie (not vegan) and omg it was delicious. Perfect texture. I'll also add that dressing/sauces are made fresh in house and that they have LLBO! (We made use of that with a pitcher of sangria!) Also extra props to staff. They were fun, friendly, and after I forgot my phone due to Sangria they safely held it for me. The Beet Rocks!"

"I've been to this place twice and on both occasions I've had the same feeling, that is that they prepare very interesting food but the overall result is somewhat disappointing. The service is attentive, the food is colourful and some of what I've tried tastes really good but some other dishes are just, in my opinion not well executed. This last time, the chef's special was nice but the starters were below what I was expecting with a detail that seems to happen often which is that battered foods or doughs tend to be slightly soggy."

"My boyfriend and I came in just before close. We were informed it was a cpl mins before close. I offered for us to go somewhere else because I know what it 's like with last-minute customers and I 'd hate to be that person but our server was so nice and said that it 's okay. We just needed to have our order put in asap, which was fine. The food was so delicious. My boyfriend and I both had paninis and I 've never had something so simple have so much flavor. My boyfriend and I don 't go to Toronto often but the next time I do I will definitely be visiting this establishment again!"

"I am so glad that I had the foresight to secure a reservation in advance. We loved the experience- and the only issue with the noise level was the diners at the table beside us- one of the guests laughed and spoke so loudly it made conversation difficult. Given the stares from the table directly adjacent to her, I know we were not alone. Although you can't reserve neighbouring guests, I was delighted with the ambience, the food and the service, and look forward to our next attendance."
