"The alexandros is a beautiful place that lies directly on the busy mönckebergstraße in hamburg's city center and is perfect for a small break during your shopping, sightseeing or working day! the restaurant offers a business lunch per day (you can check the menu online or by phone)....We were there for an afternoon tea. the place is so beautiful and comfortable they want to stay all day, it feels like it would be in a living room from a long way period. the small restaurant has only one room with a handful of tables. it is decorated with lots of love to detail from its owner, alexandros. he alone is worth the visit: born to be hostess, always beautiful and welcoming, they immediately feel comfortable. you could say that he loves historical tea sets (china, silver, they call it, it is there), as eating is served on this beautiful table. we had afternoon tee with port (sandwiches, scones, cookies, tee and of course a glass port that was left the bottle on our table for refilling. the restaurant was earlier a bookstore and some furniture and beautiful things were held by the owner. so they can read books or check historical toys etc. there is also a regal to buy with things: Greek olive oil, tee, sweets etc. since alexandros seems to know all his guests, at some point we have all spoken together and had a nice time. prices are not cheap, but reasonable, eating is freshly prepared, the atmosphere is simply beautiful. we will return very soon!"

"The ice was modernized and puffed. I like that very well. the foods are well dressed and taste very good. there is a large selection of drinks and pancakes, ice, waffel, cake also suppen or other small things. they can sit outside all year round (not heated). the services are all nice and friendly and the ordered comes fresh and fast. we like to go."

"I used to go to this place very often when I lived in St. Georg. A little hidden in a sidestreet next to the famous Lange Reihe , this is the coffee shop to go on your walk around the district. It is small, intimate, friendly and very cozy. The prices are okay. Not very cheap of course, but affordable compared to shops like Starbucks or Balzac (the latter is around the corner and by far the wrong choice). They offer a nice choice of small snacks, candy, soda, pastries and ... of course... coffee which comes in two sizes. Ever since I left Hamburg, I returned every once in a while only to find out that nothing has changed in Peaberries which definately is a good thing here. They have rather restrictive opening hours and only very little place for seating. I suppose it is more of a coffee to go shop. Many people chose to sit on the benches outside by the Gurlittstr. which happens to be quite a nice promenade near the Alster."

"This ice cream café has become my third favorite in Hamburg. Until two years ago the address was still Wandsbeker Straße 42. Since Werner Otto wanted to take a path to the entrepreneur, this path was chosen as the headquarters of the Unterbnhemnen at the junction to the Bramfelder Chaussee. (Eis Jacob Langenhorn, Eis Höft Bramfeld and Arktis Bramfeld) The ice tasted very well at that time, had a creamy consistency and the eggs were large. Three balls with cream were already a main dish. Unfortunately, the quality has become worse and it no longer tastes as beautiful as years ago. The saw part was omitted and the ice was hard and tasted only watery. Since this season the business has a new owner and what should I say?, the quality of the ice has improved by 100. It now tastes creamy again, has a large cream content and the staff is young, beautiful and absolutely friendly. Your ice cream can be taken and eaten from the house or you can order a large ice cup from variety and "snabulize" it in the newly designed garden next to the ice cream café. This ice cream café seems to be a gold mine, because many employees of OTTO and Coca Cola go there in warm weather in the lunch break to approve their part. Then the waiting times are a little longer. As already mentioned, the Eiscafé Arctic has a new owner who has nothing in common with the old owner. The ice is again as creamy as it should be. Unfortunately, this place does not appear in the Golocal app, so if you are looking for it, you cannot find it."
