"Excellent service: humorous, courteous, attentive and not intrusively beautiful ambiente: look at the lago maggiore with the brissago inseln excellent Essenveganer randenburger with pommes frites: tastes deceptively real after meat. we had to reassure ourselves that it really is a sweetpatty nothing for people who do not like meat taste. the pommes were good but not stunning.Burrata with cherrytomates: creamy fine burrata with fresh cherrytomates, which could be a bit sweeter but overall fit well with the mild burrata.Tortelloni with feta and mint filling of nut butter sauce: the portion was huge. the filling was very delicious. slightly sweet yet fresh and creamy. I'm not sure they were homemade. but very tasty overall."

"What a wonderful evening we had here! This is a lovely place, elegant without being stuffy, service attentive without hovering, and, of course, fantastic food. We showed up in street clothes (oops! don't be us, wear something nice) but the staff was very gracious, immediately...putting us at ease and settling us into a comfy table in the charming courtyard. We opted for the tasting menu, and I'm happy to say that every dish was absolutely delicious. Even the local house wine, which we admittedly tried to be adventurous, but turned out to be great. Additionally, the service was flawless, keeping perfect track of the wine and bringing me a blanket just when the evening started to cool down. All in all a perfect 10, thanks team!"

"Mid of March is low season in Ascona and we went there to rest. In the evening, we visited della Carra and had aspargus soup, seabass cooked in salt crust and chocolate soufflé. Food was very good and light, we also enjoyed nice and competent...service in a relaxing atmosphere. With local white wine it cost less than CHF200 for two people and we'd like to come back. Of the two dinner resturants we tested this time it had the best price/value."

"Maybe the top hotel in Ascona?We visited for a meal one early evening we sat on the terrace overlooking the lake, enjoying the view after a few minutes we started to look at the menu and decided what to order.A waitress came up and asked us to move as she was about to reserve the table and proceeded to show us a table right at the back with no view, no apology stopping for a brief moment at another table to tell a gentleman he could have our table to which he replied his wife would not be ready for sometime?We decided not to stay and proceeded to walk away she made no attempt to appease us or apologies.I am so glad we did not stay here."

"Die Lounge war einst ein feines Restaurant mit kombinierter Bar. Das Essen ist zwar ok, steht aber definitiv nicht mehr im Vordergrund. Im Hauptraum stehen keine Tische mehr, da ab 20h ein DJ Salsa-Musik auflegt und drei Paare dazu tanzen. Eine Lounge ist das nicht mehr. Es ist auch keine Bar und kein Restaurant. So hat die Lounge keine Zukunft, leider."

"Unfortunately, we found that this popular place has not been able to maintain the good quality we experienced years ago. The choice of dishes is still abundant and the prices remained moderate. But culinary-wise our high expectations were sadly disappointed. The Yellow curry chicken...did not have much taste and the Mie Goreng was made without the sophistication we associated with the Kitchen of this formerly great restaurant. When asked about our satisfaction we told the service personnel but just encountered lack of understanding. The same holds true with a management person that showed up at our table her reaction even had a touch of arrogance and condescension. We were obviously not satisfied but nothing was offered, not even a coffee. So we left with the impression that past success turned them complacent in this restaurant what a pity!"
