"Very pricy at dinner .... lunch at Hato is extremely cheap in comparison to dinner. The quality of food is really good, dishes to be shared is recommended. Service is nice and professional, the wine list can clearly be improved as the selection is a little bit thin.Hato is clearly one of the top 3 in Japanese/ Asian restaurants in Zürich, but comes at a price..."

"When I walk into a business with nice atmosphere, greeted by a nice young lady that was friendly, smiling and who is professional and welcoming as soon as I walk in the door you have already earned yourself 5*. Let’s then see if you can maintain this during my visit. Lilly Joe has nice sidewalk seating at the front of the store that faces the street as the Tram #4 line passes by. Inside, they have wooden tables and chairs at the front, a tall table running through the middle of the room with tall stools, a sofa at the rear wall that offers books, magazines, newspapers and toys/games for kids. There are candles and decorations on all the tables and refrigerator beverages near the counter. Yummy desserts, sweets and more are on display at the counter. The floor to ceiling windows around the place offer lots of natural lighting inside. I ordered a soy milk hot chocolate (5.50CHF), which was presented in a ‘mason’ type jar and a glass containing ground and chocolate pieces you can mix into your steamed milk. Small water glasses are at the counter. The hot chocolate was very good as I enjoy it more this way with fresh chocolate as to the standard chocolate packets some businesses serve. They also have healthy breakfast alternatives, breads, pastries, deserts, hot/cold beverages, hot sandwiches and more.The atmosphere, spotless restrooms with decorations, excellent Wi-Fi, and a very nice hostess, makes Lilly Joe a great option for beverages, snacks and treats. Highly recommended!"

"Das Talacker ist der Ort, wo sich der prototypische Zürcher Coolio trifft. Die Einrichtung versprüht den Charme einer Brockenstube, die Portionen sind klein, man wird geduzt, die Preise sind sehr hoch und am Schluss muss man noch wie in einer Skihütte an der Kasse bezahlen gehen. Das lieben die Zürcher: Für 25 Stutz auf einem Festbank von der Landi, welcher mit einer billigen Papierrolle überzogen ist, ein Curry essen. Für die Zürcher Bänkler kein Problem. Man kann dafür eine Scheibe Coolness mit ins Büro nehmen. Der Kollege vom Nebenpult ist zwar satt und hat die Hälfte bezahlt, aber die Coolness beim Coop "to go" ist halt an einem kleinen Ort. Scheinbar scheint Melanie Winiger hier früher verkehrt zu haben. Ich glaub's sofort."

"As an alternative news journalist who is also more spiritually aware, I believe strongly in 'synchronicity '. I was brought to Zurich for some work in spirituality and healing. A long time friend just happened to be in Zurich at the same time. We arranged to meet....I came into this restaurant to ask a question to use their internet to connect with my friend. I ended up choosing to have my meal here. It is a lovely restaurant, and the atmosphere (in my personal opinion) is very friendly. They helped me by allowing me to use their internet, without expecting me to buy something, which was very kind. The staff were comfortable with English. I decided to come back after meeting with my friend. Although the restaurant is not generally for the travellers who are on a lower budget, it was a 'treat ' to myself, and also to give the restaurant appreciation for their kindness. If you are willing to treat yourself, and you happen to be in the part of Zurich where the restaurant is located, it is my feeling that it would be worth your while to give it a try! My meal of choice on this night was the risotto, and it was delicious. A slightly larger portion of risotto would have made it even better. They happily accepted that I could pay with euro, because I had not yet been able to convert euro to Swiss francs. I thank the staff for their kindness, and for their hospitality!"
