"My husband and I were at the Courtice Flea Market on the weekend and was asked to try a sample of "Kathy's Homemade Soup" - beef barley a KCC product. I loved it and my picky husband fell in love with it!!!! It was soooooooooooooooooo good. This is NOT your run of the mill soup, all quality ingredients and superior taste. It is the best soup we''ve ever had including in restaurants. Want good soup? Get Kathy's. They sell it at the Courtice Flea Market and it's worth the drive to Courtice!!!!! Michele -"

"We have enjoyed Dairy Queen since it opened here. However the prices are going up and the quality is going down. It was a great place to take our grandkids but even they are no longer interested in going and they are only 8 and...10 years old. There are just too many other places that offer a better quality of food now. We went for a quick dinner this evening and we were really disappointed. The burgers were cold and the condiments left much to be desired. We will not be returning."

"My boyfriend and I were avid mucho burrito customers visiting this Bowmanville location at least once a week. Although they are polite, the sense of proper portion size is lacking. Given that we are paying 9-12 dollars for a burrito, I would expect to receive what I pay for. For instance, when asking for cheese, they give you a plastic spoon ( sometimes two ) like the spoons that are available for customer use. When you request more, they charge a dollar extra, giving you one more spoon full (approximately 10 strands). This is very inconsistent with other mucho burrito locations that provide you with an adequate amount. This location is gradually getting more and more sparse with toppings in general. Very disappointed."

"Absolutely love bringing my wife to this place as they have so many options to meet her gluten free diet. The sweets you cannot even tell they don't have gluten and the sandwiches are always well made. It's one of our top places to go for a quick lunch and always enjoy the food we get here."

"Stopped in one morning with my husband. Prices are high for the quality of food. The bacon was WAY overcooked and had white fluffs on it. I brought it to the servers attention and she said it's because they wipe the grease with towels, hand towels. And she saod they pre-cook all the bacon and just reheat it to serve. I emailed the franchise about this issue and they never responded."

"Yes I heard from a friend that Roses is closing oh what a great shame.the atmosphere at Roses is just so relaxing ..so nice to call in for a coffee or of course a favorite glass of wine, when you need to take five from shopping .My sister visits from England and Roses is one of her favorite ports of call we sit over a glass of wine chatting for longer than we should and of course they have live music on Thursday evenings good for a night out with a couple of girl friends..I do hope they change their minds and stay they will be missed......"

"Went back for dinner last night. We were 4 and had spaghetti w/meatballs, beef Bourguignon, roasted lamb shank, and Fettuccine w/seafood. Starters were burrata, and carrot/ginger soup. Our dinner and evening were excellent! Welcome atmosphere and friendly service. Not just for special occasions, Chanterelle is a perfect once a month dinner spot. It wont disappoint! (Again)Dinner at Chanterelle Bistro was outstanding! We were 2 couples, had the mushroom risotto, beef bourginion, salmon, and spaghetti w/cheese filled meatballs. Everything was very good, the risotto was perfect with lots of varieties of mushrooms and creamy Parmigiano.Perfect atmosphere for date night or just dinner. Our server was patient while we chattered away before ordering appetizers of Crab cakes and burrata salad on heirloom tomatoes.Chanterelle Bistro in Bowmanville won't disappoint! We'll be back. Too much fun to take pics."

"The food and service was good. Our party ordered the stuffed Chicken, Mushroom and Spinach Ravioli and Tortellini and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only suggestion I have is for larger or taller folks, don't book a booth, as we found it a little too crowded with minimal leg room. Otherwise, enjoy!"

"The restaurant opened shortly before COVID hit so only getting there now. Service was good, food was good. It is a bar type place, pool tables in basement. Did not go and look. We went during the week and not very busy. I had Penne a la Vodka my friend had the pork shnitzel. Enjoyed them both. Very large menus. Music was a bit loud. parking, street parking or about 4 spots behind the restaurant. There are public parking lots in the area."
