"Boars nest is a very sophisticated restaurant on Princes Anenue, right next to all the bars and cafes. It is a converted edwardian butchers with lots of origional features still im place so is perfect if you want somewhere very unique and memorable. They have separate areas for when you are having a drink before and after you eat if you wish and I must say that every aspect of this restaurant looks and feels a bit more special that you would normally get in Hull. The service is faultless and the staff are quite formal and very attentive but also extremely friendly and welcoming. As for the food here, it is mostly classic Bitish and European cuisine that is prepared and presented to a very high standard, with dishes like fillet steak wellington, rabbit and lots of fish. Desserts are the best and are a lot more creative than the mains (we had chocolate macchiato pudding with banana shortbread and a XL white chocolate eclair). The food was all delicious and cooked brilliantly but I have to say that it is expensive for Hull. You can get pre fixed deals that lower the price but even so the price would put me off going there again, unless someone else was paying. Overall I would say that Boars Nest is by far the best plae to go for people looking to have amazing, classic british food and service and for those looking for somewhere more formal and high end. Would also be great for graduations, special meals and for those with very high standards."

"Beautiful place to come with my mother! they will go to place when they are with their 80s friends, the slyne babes we booked on the way over an automated booking system seemingly they say manager if they actually want to talk to a person to find out how busy they are! to the happiness they were not busy. but we would have preferred a table for four, for both of us, because we would be right either through the icy doors or through the toilets of the ladies who were also decorated! my mother moved her chair. instead of waiting for a long time to eat as it was quite quiet (has heard this from different people.) mum had lasagne when she had not the curry she was looking forward to, and was not overly impressed by how it tasted like a heated meal, but ok. my gammon was delicious! it had a koks and whisky sauce to pour over which was wonderful! I could 've eat a bowl full of we were very full, but after a short break we had the minipudding and a hot chocolate "

"I brought my mom here to cheat her after a sick house appointment. she had no appetit yet, but had a good start with her chicken stableburger. beautiful ingredients from high-end companies. the breakfast was the best breakfast they would say for £11.00 not costly at all as some would. if they appreciate quality food, it must be tried! surely will be back to try more from the menu. well done everything in the brunch club."
