"We were out for a walk around Dunkirk and felt in need of some tea when we happened upon Miss Audrey's Cupcakes. The blackboard outside indicated that tea and coffees were served inside so we decided to give it a try.Once inside we were greeted by a young woman who ascertained quickly we were not French and spoke with us in excellent English. We each selected one the Tea and cupcake combination on the menu and chose our respective teas and cupcakes.The cafe has two rooms and can seat around around 32 people inside and there was a small table outside (if weather permits).The teas were excellent as where the cupcakes, which can also be purchased to take out.The cafe was bright and the decor was fun and we had pleasant time over our tea and cakes. We were surprised to discover that the cafe was not listed on TripAdvisor and decided this need to be rectified.The cafe has a Facebook page which people can visit for an idea of what is on offer."

"We were staying en route to the Netherlands, so we arrived quite late and without reservation. The welcome was friendly and we were shown to a table quickly.The menu was large and catered to every taste. The waiting staff were quick and understood our attempts at French, which is always welcoming.Our food was lovely, the children devoured their meals and were spoilt for choice on the ice cream menu which is usually restricted to strawberry, chocolate or vanilla. We thought it was good value and close to our hotel. The children loved the ski style touches and were interested by the equipment that have in the front of the restaurant. The views from the toilet is something I didn't expect! The whole toilet give the feel of being at the top of a piste, a really unique experience!"

"The place first, at the crossing of the dock and a perpendicular street, is well located. the room is cut in 2. prefer the room from the bottom that allows a view of the port and is less noisy because of the absence of the bar. the decor is contemporary, simple but effective, with discreet elegance. nothing to say about service, casual professional. but a little slow sometimes, especially the noon if the place is crowded. the contents of the plates now. a treat due to the chief's turn of hand. rather simple dishes but that a finger of originality rises and distinguishes from the mass. a dish of the week welcome and fits into a formula at very reasonable prices. indisputably a good surprise and thus an address to be remembered in the city of jean bart for who frequents the district of the citadel and its harbour museum to some encablures"
