"Provided you know that this detached villa just off the Anstruther road only opens Fridays to Sundays to serve tea, coffee and baking, even at lunchtime, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy the ambience of the garden (described by the owner as a “work in progress” and the framed landscape paintings in the anterooms. If you are at one of the tearoom's window tables you will have an unbroken view (weather permitting to St Andrews and points north as far as the Sidlaws. The tearoom has lovely decor and charming crockery. The cakes are first class (including gluten free choices and there are scones and pancakes. Last year they gave the tea room profits, over £11,000, to charity"

"This was the second outing to Watts, think we went a couple of years ago when we had a very nice meal but disappointing this time. M-in-L had the soup which she enjoyed, lentil bacon, don't do a vegetarian lentil unfortunately. We shared nachos,...which were just ok, they tasted like cheap cheesy tortilla chips and weren't hot only tepid. Fish and chips went down well, the steak pie was apparently quite good. I had the veggie curry, my mistake was thinking it was Indian, it was more like Chinese made with the curry powder you get in a box from B&M very artificial flavourings, definitely wouldn't have again or recommend."
