"While they visited friends in France, they booked for us lunch where they had eaten recently. we arrived early to be greeted by very friendly staff and the restaurant soon filled so that they were people away from 12.30 we went all for the dish...du jour washed with a beautiful bottle muscadet. eating was very good and the whole meal was excellent."

"It looks nothing from the outside. We went in because we saw a few locals enjoying a coffee outside. As soon as we said we wanted to eat, we were beckoned into the restaurant area at the back, which looked like a sixth-form cafeteria. But...it was full of locals, and the food didn't disappoint! For about a tenner we had a fantastic fixed-menu 3-course lunch, including a knuckle of gammon with Puy lentils in a sauce that was out of this world! The waiter, a young lad of about 20, was as attentive as you could wish, and it was a wonderful French experience. If you're passing and hungry, this is a great place for an excellent-value lunch."
