"This review is solely about the golf course. The Grindelwald golf course is nothing more than a paddock with holes. There is no difference between what are supposed to be fairways and what are supposed to be greens. It is absolutely appalling!!!! It is obvious that there hasn 't been any maintenance done on this course for years. The greens are full of rabbit holes!!!! There is a 500 odd meter walk from the 3rd green to the 4th tee. My son and I went for a hit and had to hire 1 set of clubs. The guy in the golf shop was friendly and he did say that the course isn 't in the best condition at the moment so the green fees are half price, ie $10 each. Then added a further $17 for the club hire. The clubs were a hodge podge of clubs with two 3 irons and two 8 irons. Definitely won 't be going back there again and will tell everyone not to go there either. Very disappointing course for such a popular tourist attraction in the Tamar Valley. It needs a good 100 K to make it even slightly playable"

"Absolutely LOVE this place! Beautiful café and delicious food! I love the vintage vibes you get as you walk in and the customer service is warm and welcoming! I definitely will be back as the food is exceptional and very well priced! Worth every penny "

"The food is ok here (I had pancakes and scones) but it's not food for which you go there. A few kilometres outside Launceston and you get a flavour of Switzerland in Grinderwald! This village is a place not to be missed, and to keep your tummy happy, one of the better options around is the Chocolate cafe!"
