"Having lived in Europe, I'm pretty picky about pastries. Most American bakeries make tough ones, or put so much butter in them that they are greasy. Not Fire Dogs. Their pastries are even better than one finds in Europe very light and flaky, full of flavor, and a great variety of more difficult to find delights. The only tough part is that they run out quickly and don't carry the same things every week. But if you have a chance to get there right after they open, or order ahead, you will be amazed. Best ever!"

"I had not expected much of this ice cream shop, especially since it only available 2 aromen of vegan ice in creative form (the rest is vegan soft servier). but the chocolate, made with cocose milk I think, was actually quite good. as regards the soft portion, the consistency was good, but it tasted obliquely. it could have been just the taste we chose (we got blueberries cheesecake), but it tasted nothing like it should and had a kind of artificial taste. that said there were probably 8-10 flavors served by vegan soft to choose, so maybe something more classic would have been better. in any case I would go back for the creatures!"
